Duo Boreal finds its origins within the revered halls of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg in 2019. United by a shared passion for chamber music, they formed as a duo under the guidance of the esteemed performer Isabel Siewers, whose mentorship sculpted their artistic vision.
The duo embarked on a transformative journey, enriching their musical tapestry through masterclasses with Stephen Fitzpatrick, principal harpist of the Staatskapelle Berlin, and concert artist Laura Young. They performed numerous concerts in Spain, Austria, and Germany.
That same year, they were awarded the third prize in the Savarez-Corelli competition. From then on, they parted ways to develop as solo performers and continue their master's studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague and Mozarteum University.
Now, reunited once again, Duo Boreal embarks on a new chapter, interpreting representative works from different artistic trends and historical periods, thus offering a panoramic view of performance and compositional development from the Baroque era to the present day. Additionally, they also interpret their own arrangements, bringing a unique and personal touch to their performances.
